question about berserk special

Whiteninja: Yup, that's the other problem with charge, and it's why I will leave games with too many charge abusers: quite simply, because I can't tag.

As for annoying the FO, well:

Berserking is the practice of PSO's daredevils; it takes a bit of good judgement and being able to watch your own behind to do it without leaving yourself in a dangerous position with next to no HP left. In multiplayer games, a force's Resta can in some cases almost negate any danger from berserking. However, this is really limited to the purely support forces. Simply put, it drives some force players crazy to have to follow around the berserker and heal them constantly (sometimes at the cost of the time needed to cast more important support techniques). As Neo, I am among these forces. For my berserking characters, particularly Loaded Die, being able to watch your own back is extremely important.

Often berserk abusers do so because they think the FO will always be there to watch their back. It is of course selfish to hog the attention of the FO, if you happen to have a generous one (and most are). Personally, I'll resta the occasional berserker with no trouble (unless he's strayed too far from me). But I refuse to follow around a berserk abuser, constantly healing him, while at the same time trying to juggle casting S/D/J/Z AND my own strategy. That's the worst part: a berserk abuser who expects the FO to follow him around is not only denying possible support to the other players, but in some cases is taking hindering the FO's play style or even denying them exp because all they have time to cast is resta on this selfish guy. My attack pattern is as follows: I J/Z, I attack, I freeze, I steal TP, and repeat... resta-ing when necessary. And if someone pulls that crap on me and ends up dead, well, I'm not reviving them. >_>

So bottom line with my berserkers is: resta yourselves if possible. This is particularly true of my RAmarl who is a major berserker, but has the MST to heal herself almost completely (my HUmar may be a little bit more dependant, but he doesn't berserk as often).
