ok: someone said somthing about a FO taking the hits. they dont, BUT if an enemy does get past, then they DO take the hit and if they are underlvled for the area (which i think most are) then they stand a very high chance of dieing with a weak shield on. what about boss battles? are you going to make a FO put up with 0,0,0, against the ice/fire gradon when they could have 26/30/27 or something like that? whats the point with that? FO's should heal, its true but they do NOT have to heal all the time, and use the best equipment to do that, though they might. i mean, 2-6 DFP? who wants that?
in short, i think the FO should heal but the other people should to prepared to heal themselves if the FO is tied up, or if they are abusing the FO.
