If forces and other low DFP characters can live without the need of wearing extremely powerfull armors (and seeing the ones with low DFP tend to have low HP as well..) why not just look for the elemental resistences? Besides, the most powerfull attacks in the game are elemental based.... not many good physical attacks... So I wear high elemental defence and HP units. And EVP... heh... what's that going to save you from... block a Claw why don't you? >_>

the reason FO's dont use very good armour is because of the jellen+deband they have. androids dont have that, so they need the dfp and evp. evp is very useful when underlvled, and dfp is very useful when overleveled. the only reason you would want resistances is if you were in 2 places- somewhere with ob lillys. grants and other techniques- wowee, they happen like once every 20 seconds if your unlucky. you get hit by enemies once every 2 seconds in combat. i know which i prefer.
