i like that idea so much that i'm going to have to say it was my idea.
so:
How about rather than making each character class it's own set of costumes, you get a list of Human, Newman and Android clothing with which to customise your character.

So you choose your class, then you simply have an array of clothing for them. Maybe broken down into male/female or something. Like a proper create a character.

This way if you want a Sorcerer's Robe you can, but if you want a flowery sundress, you can do that too.

What a great idea I just had.
