I really prefer close-range combat over distance weaponry. I can shatter groups of enemies with a good Vjaya and some money in my pocket. I have a tendancy to use Vjaya and either a Double Saber or Double Sword type weapon. Normal, Hard, Hard usually works out well as well unless you have ATA issues. In which case Normal, Normal, Hard works perfectly if your timing is good.

but with ranged weapons you can hit the criatures at a distance, you do not need to run around or aproach, killing the bosses, also with guns
ex.. dark falz- you can do mor damage on the 1st form with a gun then with a sword, because the dragons head is no longer on the grond, with guns either on the ground or not, you will be always hiting him
if you want to do close combat, dagers, are not bad, cosidering the speed power, and hits; double saber is also good, maybe even beter the a dager, when there is lot's of criatures, use a sword, but if you tend to do hard atacks then use a partisan (this is not what i was trying to say)
