1. Sonic is in there, but not as a main character. Also, the goal isn't to reach point B as fast as possible.

2. Rings are there, but they aren't emphasized at all. Also, losing rings is different, since you only lose 10 rings if you're hit, not all of them.

3. Actually the levels are pretty dark.

And that's a crappy checklist, since it doesnt involve gameplay at all
