This is somewhat an old thread, and I have a mind to close it, but it's an interesting topic, and thus open to debate/discussion.
I did read about this the day the site released it, over at BT.net, and I must say I'm somewhat dubious. This guy may have just randomly occured onto a genetic mutation, and hopefully, he can pass that gene on to his kids and it'll spread. Much like black people with sickle-cell anemia are immune to malaria, but are anemic by birth, this guy may have some wierd side-effect of the/possible mutation as well.
