hmmmm, well the first has no "s"s besides the one making a plural, but the other, on the other hand has a whopping 4 "s"s, i personally have always thought the more the merrier (except when you are talking about how many flaming emus are about to be catapulted 3000 feet at you're exposed rear end) but things may be in need of a change and the no "s"s (not including the plural) still remains an option, so whenever an albatross sees what back in the olden days we called a a purple lemon it will instinctively break down into song and dance. (its take on " hey, why are you eating that log?" is a particular favourite.). By combining this same large seabird with a woodlouse on a holiday to spain, a hugely ginormous tin of alphabet soup is created, thus rendering both swiss acorns and cheddar acorns non existant, therefore i cannot answer your question!
