If I wanted someone to get a monster off my butt I'd rather it was someone with a giant sword than a three shot rifle or whatever that doesnt do that much damage anyway.
Besides, many rooms in PSO are so small and chock-a'-block full of enemies it kinda eliminates the need for real rangers. Playing hunter/fo I find my self saving the rangers asses more often then actually getting this so called 'back up firepower' that I need.
Maybe that's just because all the rangers I have played with are total n00bs, I don't know...
more hunters is good, but would you want to be in a ra-less environement? i mean, a FS is a pretty good way to get a monster off you back, as it cant do anything, then red mechs- unreduced havoc, then theres the spread needle, true, at low levels RA's are bad, give them decent weapons and all of a sudden RA's become an immense support- they DO provide the backup firepower, they also do the status things, which if your a hunter can be useful as hell. the reason you have to bail RA's out is probably because their total noobs- unless you have a decent combat weapon, RAs stay back and call items so they're garunteed, not run in to steal them and get killed. HUs do that. also, multiple forces=no. one force can support fine, why do you need a nuking force?
