dupes will do nothing, but try not stacking. (im assuming you mean getting 105 of something when you stack, rather than 9?)

My brother was doing this. He got rid of all the stacked crap he was carrying. Let's see if the game now returns my drop rates to normal. I'm angry 'cos when i played this very game on DC my console broke and i stoped playing for 6 months. When i got back, i could never find anything rare again... I thought the this might have happened on GC too because the game has the same bugs it used to have on DC...
