Rented Doom out last week, and did it the doom 3 treatment by making sure i watched it late at night, in the dark, alone. However i didnt really find it scary. Barely.
But i do believe it is still a fairly enjoyable movie, and as a game based film it is excellent, it really captures alot of the Doom 3 feel without having to do the plot hole ridden "OMG theres a portal to hell on mars!". They instead went for something that was more scientific and had plot twists.
Maybe its just that im a fan of the rock films but he was awesome at the end and the whole FPS sequence was very well done.
I would give it a 7/10 as a film goer, but a 10/10 as a game based movie.

No, we are not film. We are anime, we are comics and we are the bloody juggling club.
We are a niche medium with the capacity to astound, marginalised by our own decree and set in a vacuum for eternity.
