It only takes a couple ridiculously overpowered weapons to be, to use your words, "ten times stronger." 
And I swear, I'm going to get Needles with alternate and non-uber-threatening specials. Just to spite all of you. ;[
Might get one with Zalure though. Zalure IMO is okay for teamplay because the special's benefit is shared by all (meleeing) parties, unlike Berserk/Spirit.
