Only half of the classes have Shifta/Deband above lv15, and there isn't always one of them around. In the case that there is, he'd be able to kill the enemy regardless of this "huge" variable damage.

You haven't realized that 90 ATA on a Demon's Laser (0/0/0/0/40) is more accurate than 63 ATA on a Bringer's Rifle, at your levels? omg.

The extra ATP on the Bringer's won't even amount to 45 damage on a hard attack. Unless you plan to do NHH combos, that's a very small gain, and if you do use NHH combos, then what's the point of even having the special? Go back to school.
