On GC/X-box, the letters in your name affect Section ID. Try Ragol.co.uk's GC/X-box ID calculator here:

You are indeed correct. Different IDs find different rares. We have guides on that also:

The Luck statistic does not play into the finding of rare weapons. Luck affects critical hit.
The thing about EpiII isn't really the lilies (they're not Obs until Ultimate mode anyway), it's the awful, awful Exp!
The yellow barrier would not be different, and your Amp of Resta can merge with Recovery Barrier, and that will give you double Resta range (and it's good for FOmars
