Booma Blood Whisky
"I'm not young I'm a Newman. I'll never get any bigger."
The barman was far from a trusting individual. However, in this case, it was rightly so. The girl was tiny and demanding alcohol. Not just any alcohol either, she wanted Booma Blood Whisky.
"Look," he replied in his most calm voice, "you have to have a guardian card that shows you've been cleared for alcohol. Without it I can not serve you."
"Right, so once Dr. Harliter arrives with my card I'll want that Booma Blood Whisky. Have it ready for me."
With one last grimace at the barman Lucy hopped from her barstool, both feet landing on the insides of her skirt. She cursed so violently several people looked at her in disgust. She looked directly at one elderly woman and growled. The woman turned away.
It was always difficult to find people at Lucy's size. She always seemed to be surrounded by much smaller beings. She wasn't even sure if Aroma and Rejik were here yet.
"Looking good little Lucy."
She threw her head back towards the bar where the yellow, tuxedo-clad android Vladimir had just taken a seat. Lucy knew him well. She was a friend of Rejik's, both drinking buddy and fellow poker player. He planted his feet on the ground and put his finger into a small recess on the bartop.
"Electric peanuts," he replied to Lucy's inquiring look, "tasty. It took me a while to get dressed. What do you think?" he tugged on his bowtie nervously.
"You look very nice Vladi. How about me? Do you think I look cute?" she curtseyed to him, holding out her emerald green skirts for display.
"You always look cute little Lucy. Seen Rej about?"
Lucy sighed and dropped her skirts back to her sides, "no. I was hoping to ask you the same. Without Aroma I can't get a whisky."
"Want me to get you one?"
"No, no. I'd rather do it myself. I'll go find them. See you later."
"Wait, wait," Vladimir called after her. She turned back and instantly recognised a man who had just reached the bar. His white hair had been oiled and curled and he was wearing a crimson suit. The sleeves were widened, with gold string acting as cufflinks. The edges of a white shirt came out in ruffled adges from the sleeves of the jacket. His tuxedo was covered in small golden shapes. By the time Lucy had come close enough to head him he was already mid-conversation.
"...watching you Vladimir," he was saying, "with your history it screams of your work. I might not have the evidence now but you better watch your back. Understand me?"
"I did nothing," Vladimir was professing profusely, "I'm not the criminal you think I am."
"Louie," Lucy called up, tugging on Lucieus' jacket. She felt him shudder at such misuse of his name before he turned to look down at her. She grinned up at him. He frowned down at her. Close up she could see the bags around her eyes, he looked exhausted.
"How can I help you Lucy?"
"Well..." Lucy began, dragging out each syllable, "I am looking for Aroma and Rejik. You're still infatuated with her and what's between her legs. Where is she?"
She waited for a moment while he stared at her with his mouth hanging slightly open. However, he regained his composure quickly.
"I am infatuated with all of her, not with any particular part of her. Also, I haven't seen them. How can I claim first dance if I can't find her?"
"Oh, come on Louie you know better than that," Rejik began. lifting Lucy up from behind to tickle her. Lucieus glanced around and, still unable to see Aroma, looked instead at Rejik, "first dance is mine. Always. Second dance is Lucy's. Again always. You might be able to claim third, but you'll have to be fairly fast to get there quick enough. Here's hoping you don't."
"You hate me don't you Rejik?"
"Only sometimes," Rejik replied. Lucy settled into his arms as Rejik turned and walked towards the ballroom. He had dancing shoes and everything, it was time to put them to good use.[/COLOR]
