Defence is pointless with Falz. Only the Dervantes are affected by defence. I would take All/Resist if you have it seeing as it will increase your defence against Falz's elemental attacks. Or even better is a Resist/Flame or Resist/Ice etc because these provide more protection against his attacks. Other than that, just keep levelling. Try doing the quests. If you look for the Soul Eater thread in Item Findings or the Ragol Ring then try doing them. Not only will you get exp. But can get a really cool item at the end.
