Hehe, my dad reckons paypal is evil towards him, he's always complaining about it and asking me to sort it out, he's even phoned the company a few times!
What you've said though does seem a little wierd... guess they just need a little loaner for their jan holiday and they'll put the money back into the stream of things when they get back which must be around the 15th
