Chapter 10: A Warm Conclusion!

“SNaKe? SNAKE! Wake up, or you’ll be late for work!” SNaKe could hear Eva’s voice even when he was asleep, which was his signal that a brand new day had started! He put on his gear, prepared his item pack, and set off for work, but not without kissing his love goodbye first! On the way there, he passed by the apartments of each of his friends, including Heathcliff and Palli’s! That’s right, evil mutated evils can have happy endings too! He arrived at his normal office, with his normal Johnny Pencil-Pusher, and the same old Principal sitting at the front desk. Natasha was visiting for a conference; her hair had grown back pretty quickly, but she figured the more professional ‘bun-and-suit look’ was a better alternative to her crazy old styles. It was almost as if no one had even remembered the incident in the Seabase, even though they all knew it too well in their minds.
Even though the Principal had attempted to have his friend Heathcliff killed, the two remained close and never even mentioned the incident. The Principal had also attempted to kill Team SNaKe, but SNaKe thought to himself that bringing up the situation again would be even more dangerous than letting it go for now; he decided to take his chances. The mission was over after all, and of course, Eva treated the entire team to ice cream cones the day after!
After work, SNaKe was tired and decided to stop at the local restaurant for some dinner. He once again met Really at the usual booth behind his, but this time, he wasn’t alone! Ellie had decided to come out on their first date! He also saw Dana, of course; but she was too busy getting scolded by her boss about the long vacation period she took for the mission to say hi to SNaKe. As he sat there in his booth, remembering all that had happened over the past few days, a familiar sound, symbolizing what he’d been waiting for over that mission period, rang in his ears.

“SNaKe- your pie is ready!”
