It's called proto-emoism. Being an emo before the fashion culture had really found its feet. It doesn't matter what you do, like, or how you dress. If you blow your own urbanised non-problems out of proportion until they seem to be the very factor around which your life revolves (and in most cases, this involves "ZOMGs my gf/bf left me and now I gets no makeout!")... Then you are an EMO KID. Attention seeking fools who are just too lame to do the world a favour and actually kill themselves ^^; Aww, so the little emo has a cut on his arm? Try having a steak embedded in your stomach, or gashing your leg on a trial biking session. People in 3rd world countries fight for every breath, so to say "I want to die" because of love is pure idiocy
Besides, people don't hate love. They hate the guilt it has the 'potential' to cause and they hate it when it ends. I find the above quote a confused statement, mostly hypocritical.
