The primary reason for a corruption is FSOD-X.

When you join a game, there is a double save. This means the game saves once, then pauses, then saves again very quickly.

If someone sees you joining they can set off an FSOD, which will hit inbetween the two saves. This causes instant corruption.

Cure: Don't join games, only make your own. This way when it double saves, no one is in the game to FSOD you but you and I doubt you could/would do that to yourself.

FSOD=Frozen screen of death, FSODX= FSOD performed during a double save.

If you get hit by regular FSOD in a game, you will lose any items and meseta which are not equipped. Cure: Bank everything but what you equip; a little money and your healing items. This way FSOD's effects will be minimal. FSOD can't affect your bank or "equipped" items.

If you get hit by FSOD in the PSO-Lobby, all you will lose is meseta. No items. Cure: Who gives a damn? It's meseta! It grows on monsters, items and in boxes everywhere
