I just got an email from here wishing me a happy birthday and logged in for the first time in 8 years. I instantly remember the pink robot mascot from the game, though not her name. It's a bit nostalgic, reading through all my old posts. They're so happy and excited, generally ending with an exclamation point and an emoticon. I was talking about how stupid the name Wii is compared to Revolution, the new Zelda game, things like that.
And now the site has few visitors. All the post counts I admired, the groups I chose from (I'm almost certainly the only remaining member of the Shadow Council)...Hm. And then there's my signature. I was so happy when some kind person made that banner for me, and I was so proud of the ominous determination of the saying below it. Bit ironic now, of course.
It's like revisiting the playground of your elementary school after it's been shut down for a few years, and hearing the echo of children's laughter.
