Monkeys and music equate success! In this game it's all about the rhythm, so a special set of 'Konga Bongos' will be released in celebration. These are special ancient bongos that respond not only to the beats banged onto them bongos, but the clapping of the bongo bonger who's bopping to the banging beats!

Keep in-time to the licensed music by top-selling artists to wrack up those 'Great' beat points and become the ultimate bongo banging champion. Gather up to three other friends and then compete in multiplayer bongo competitions to become the best of the best of the bongo bongoing community!

Metroid Prime was one of the most highly rated GameCube titles of all time, and now we have lifted the lid on one of the most eagerly awaited sequels of all time! Metroid Prime 2: Echoes features an epic single-player story, but also includes a multiplayer mode in which up to four players can battle it out whilst utilising the multiple weapons made famous by the first game, and new items implemented for the sequel. Players can also transform into Morph Balls to make a rapid exit should the fight not be going their way.

Morph your way into the action later this year, and only on Nintendo GameCube.

Paper Mario 2

Paper Mario conjures up some sweet memories, and now Mario's back in an all new role-playing adventure that takes place in an unknown land. Mario's abilities are now further expanded as he can be seen turning into a paper aeroplane to take to the skies, a tube to bounce to higher platforms, and flat to fit through a variety of small areas.

Assisting Mario are 'Timing Action Commands,' that allow mustached-Mario, the multi-skilled Italian plumber, to dodge attacks, inflict damage, and impress the crowd to garner power to perform extra-special moves. In this new instalment, more emphasis is placed on his abilities, and how he can combine these with items such as giant hammers, so you better keep your wits about you!

Pikmin 2

Those little Pikmin are back and promising to take over even more of your life! Captain Olimar and his new assistant, Louie, have to erase 10,000 Poko's worth of debt to save their company from bankruptcy, and helping the terrific two are the Pikmin, who return with new colours, and more variety.

Create your new Pikmin by placing them into rare lilies found in mysterious dungeons. Find a purple plant and you can create super-strong purple Pikmin that are ten times as strong as a normal Pikmin, ten times heavier, and able to utilise ten times the work power of normal Pikmin. The new purple Pikmin are slower, however, and can easily be left behind, rendering them defenceless. The other new breed of Pikmin are frail, white, and can withstand the poisonous gasses that would harm even the mighty purple Pikmin. As with those purple Pikmin, these can only be created via the use of a special white lily.

In Pikmin 2 the time-limits have been removed, and a two-player cooperative or VS. play mode have been added that promise to double the fun factor.

The Legend of Zelda: The Four Swords

Classic Legend of Zelda gameplay meets unrivalled multiplayer cooperative features to create one unforgettable experience! One so unforgettable that The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures is already being called one of the best games of the year, so far, by the specialist gaming press. As you play through the adventure on your Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance, you switch between the TV screen and the Game Boy Advance, while cooperating with friends to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.

Additionally, all players get to partake in such whacky mini-games as horse racing, chicken catching and some of the most frantic multiplayer battles you will ever see - whatever you do, just don't take your eyes off Four Swords Adventures!

[EDIT] (22-05-04) E3 Post Double Merging

E3 News (1)

Nintendo's E3 Press Conference:

The conference is being held right now, the last of the 3 companies. So far shown was Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Starfox 2: Armada (November PAL release?), and Capcom's Resident Evil 4.

First thing they did though, was typical Nintendo, and get cocky with the other companies! To be quoted:

"Other companies doesn't mind what you do, so long as you do it on their operating system"

Oooooh they are mean!

They're also promising to take gamers forward in the games world with more and ore ways for gamers to interact with the games! Oh and by the way, they didn't say in the future, they meant now. While they're talking in fact, while other companies are fannying around! Where do they get them from!

Next Nintendo looked at some statistics! They showed that Nintendo have sold more games per system than Microsoft, and are fast closing in on Sony. He points out that the GameCube has been a huge success, and will continue to be so. George Harrison (The bloke talking!) said that reasons for this were hardcore and immediate fans, people that want gaming and entertainment that it easy to get into and enjoy, characters that people know and feel comfortable with, and finally good prices!

After this was talks of how consumers love cheap prices, which were shown after the Gamecubes price drop worldwide! That was pretty obvious though! Also the GC's catalogue will extend to over 400 games!! Next came GBA announcements, how the GBA owns the market, and how they will in the short-term future be bringing Pokemon TV episodes to the GBA for consumers to buy and watch!

Continuing with the handhelds, he says the PSP doesnt compare to the GBA (Thats right! I dunno what he's looking at!). Then he moved onto the Nintendo DS. These facts can be looked at in the Nintedo DS thread.

Next came the Next Nintendo console! Iwata speaks. He says in a nutshell that the next console will not feature heavily on improved grpahics, as it's not enough for the gamers of today. It will instead include brand new experiences! Dont worry though, it will obviously feature graphical advances! The games of tomorrow are 100% gameplay, not graphics!

When all that was finished, on came the legendary Miyamoto in a silly Link costume, appearing in a cloud of smoke! WOAH!

New Legend of Zelda Game Announced!

Following the Nintendo E3 Press Conference held not that long ago...(in fact i think it's still in progress!), a new zelda game is being shown. And it sunlike anyone could have possibly imagined! ITS TOTALLY REALISTIC!

This new totally 3D adventure was just shown live during Ninty's PC, and what exactly was shown was one 4/5 minute long excerpt from the latest 'The Legend of Zelda' title. The exact scene was a battle scene unbelivably!

The game features:
  • New Locations
  • Classic characters such as Epona the Horse and the evil Ganondorf
  • Possibly Real blood?!
  • No Cel-Shading!
