I just got Zelda : Four Swords Adventures

Yeah. I think they did that because it would be too much of a difference if it was high res 3d on the T.V. then pixelated 2d on the GBA. But, some things are enhanced on the gamecube (effects). For instance, you can get a fire wand, and all the fire is rendererd Wind Waker Style. Acutally, whenever you kill an enemy they "poof" in black smoke just like Wind Waker.
