You can tell if it won't go through if you look at bottom right corner. If the save picture never shows, you aren't really connected. If you just sit there an wait, usually you will get a message saying Line Is Busy. Unfortunatly, so far there is nothing you can do to fix the problem. It sometimes takes me up to 2 hours before it will go to the ship select screen. I really hate it when I was just signing off and back on to update rank. Anyway...should you find a solution, let me know...as for now, the only one I have is patience. :S
