Time is funny upon reflection.
One week ago can seem like such a short time, but if you pick out an event that occured a week ago, or sometimes even less, it can seem so much longer.
On the nature of time, one native american tribe said something like:
We are travelling facing backwards, with only brief glimpses ahead.
Not sure why I decided to say that then, but it's quite impressive. We really are looking back upon what's happened alone, and with only deja vu or even (supposed) premonitions can we see what is coming.
