nope, not that rare, they have the best resistances in game.
Plate:
EFR = 5
EIC = 5
ETH = 5
ELT = 20
EDK = 20
Wall:
EFR = 30
EIC = 30
ETH = 30
ELT = 5
EDK = 5
Add to that Resist/Burning, Resist/Blizzard and Perfect/Resist and your EFR and EIC will be high enough for you to laugh at Dark Falz's second form's Rafoie and Rabarta (beware of Darvants, though).
