1) lol, no, just plus a controller into the 4th control slot and snap away. you can only have one saved offline (not sure if you can have more online)

2) I actually don't know since I'm not online. I'm guessing if its not used then it should work ^_~. if it is used, you could try to use it online and if it says its already in use, email sega and ask them to reset it Smile
