I'm against duping, as far as playing the game it only ruins the game for those who do it, but it does ruin the value of any trading.
But I think that Sega wants this kind of activity to take place. You need a lot of participation to keep it running. It seems to me that having players run around and drop off occasional items to lower lvl players would help to build excitment. Also, I have a hard time believe that "the shop trick" was simply stumbled upon and wouldn't be surprised if it was leaked.
Think about it, once the paticipation level drops low enough it's GAME OVER dude. The ships that I access here in the US about 4 mos. ago you'd find 3500 players on, now its about 350-400,wonder how low it has to go to collapse. How would you rebuild interest?
