Quote:PSO III News
Yuji Naka, Sonic Team leader and all around game guru, recently passed on some info regarding Sonic Team's upcoming addition to the Phantasy Star Online series, PSO Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution:
- The Japanese beta test is set to begin in July, but could possibly slip to August if need be.
- All registrations carry over from PSO Episode I&II, so players do not have to re-enter data. Quick and easy. It would be assumed that this not only applies to the serial numbers, but to Hunter's Licenses as well.
- Episode III players can share lobbies with the owners of the version 1.1 software in Japan, while owners of the original release of PSO Episode I&II will have separate lobbies. The version 1.1 software was reported to have bug and glitch fixes in it, and was rumored to disable item hacking, as well.
The playable version of PSO Episode III at last week's E3 was only 30% complete, but looked like an interesting concept. Can Sonic Team get the game polished enough for beta testing by July? Let's hope so, as any delays in Japan can lead to delays here. As we learn more about this title, we will pass the info along to all of you faithful readers.
