It is more difficult with armors....but if you find one giving you a love heart or safety heart, or an aura field, or any of the ridiculously rare armors as if they're monomates, odds are 99 to 1 that it's a hack.

Actually it's more likely that they are duped but not necessarily hacked. I guess that actual hacked armors or shields may exist, but I've never seen one. Probably because most hackers are into power, dex, or mind increases. The Red Ring in xbox is the only one I know was hacked in, along with several slot items. there were some hacked purple rings, white rings but now that they're relatively easy to find you can't tell if they're hacked in, duped, or legit.
