As I am fairly new to online PSO I, II & III I've recently been evaluating my views on cheating, hacking and duping - and the reason for my re-evaluation - FSOD!
I still don't use AR, Hacking or Duping - and being in my 30's I'm so far above using FSOD because I'm here to have fun and meet like minded individuals not act like a teenager proving about my superiority (sic) over everyone because I can read a random cheat website, after all you're safe behind your keyboard (yawn) etc etc ad nauseaum (bored now).
I have no problem with anyone who uses AR to replace a lvl x char that has been corrupted by FSODX or a dodgy memory card. I have no problem with the replacement equipment either.
I have no problem with duping of rares if your reasons are for the backup of a rare item, if you are unlucky and get FSOD when the item is on you but not equiped because you need it for the level but not just yet.
I've played some games with people who have hacked to get a Mag or weapon. So long as this has not unbalanced my play experience and they have been honest with me I've had no problem with them. But I wont accept items from them or trade with them because I still wish to get my stuff legitimately - it's nothing personal, it's just the way I want to play the game.
I love the hackers that appear as Sonic and Tails in the lobbies.
As for FSOD, well I've had my fair share perpetrated against me, it's annoying but I wont let it stop me playing a thoroughly enjoyable game. Besides, most FSODers will soon bugger off to a new game to beat their chests (and some of them might even have hairs on them).
So I'm still legit 100%, I'm just expanding my views on this little part of life. Remeber people, it's not worth the effort of spending ages online arguing with cheats, dupers, hackers, FSODers or Neo-Legits (eg: I'm legit so everyone who isn't should get the electric chair along with his/her parents). If you disagree with the way someone wants to play then just don't play with them, the arguements will just degenerate in the end 9 times out of 10. And if you get a good group of online buddies you can always lock your game to avoid the FSODers.
