Twin sabers (eg Stag Cutlery) are better than twin swords. There is a smaller delay between each attack which stops the fast moving Ult monsters from getting an attack in.
If you use a twin sword (Yamato) and try to do a soft, soft, hard with a god/battle equipped, I don't think the hard attack has chance to hit a Ult Ruins monster. You have to do a soft, hard, hard to get the final attack in, but there's less chance you'll get it in because of the second attack being harder to pull off.
