Hehe, in which way would you like me to enlighten you Orphen? ..regarding the cast, for instance?
Well, the cast is great. This is the first major step in most of the actors' careers (Ben McKenzie, Rachel Bilson, Adam Brody and Mischa Barton) but others, like Peter Gallagher are more than familiar with big acting roles.
In The O.C., to briefly describe, basically the whole thing is about love triangles and squares, and...polygons of all shapes between the main characters and other people who come in briefly, or extended periods of time. Currently, there is a guy named Zach interfering with Seth's (Brody) love for Summer (Bilson). Summer doesn't want Seth anymore (so it seems..) because Seth ran away from home, leaving but a meer note for his beloved girlfriend and family describing his absence from the county. He left because Ryan (McKenzie) had to leave for Chino in order to look after his expected baby with an old spark (Theresa). After learning that his baby had died in the mother's womb (though it actually hadn't..Theresa simply knew Ryan would rather have been back home, where he belonged, so she lied), he came back to The O.C. Since he was now coming home, Ryan persuaded Seth to come back home also.
The reason why Summer no longer wants Seth is because of his unexplained three month long absence. Now things are becoming more and more awkward and difficult between the four of them. Old flames and new sparks are flying between the different love interests afloat.
So, basically, it's a romance show, with comedy and much drama thrown into the middle of it. It's doing very well for itself seeing as though its 2nd season only begun several weeks ago.
