As opposed to people that flame them? I agree that this thread is rather pointless, but... please, don't encourage him. ¬_¬
I'll say one thing about "keeping each other alive:" it's quite possible for one character to go in and beat up everything in a room sometimes, even in multi. Now, I don't have much experience in multi with rangers (with the exception of my RAmarl, who was so much more powerful than the people I was playing with that time, I ended up going unarmed
)... but it seems to me that a ranger with, say, a shot, can be very useful. I mean, my RAmar has a God/Battle and a Meteor Smash... for cover-providing I could probably keep the enemies in "hurt" animation more often than not.
But of course it can be the other way around, too... my Hunter friends could hack away from a distance with a slicer while I go and melee with the Delsaber combo or the Soul Eater, for instance. Point is, never play the same way every time, it just gets boring.
