It's because hunters can equip better melee weapons (twin sabers/swords for instance) and have more ATP/DFP. You should always keep a saber around, though, because it's usually your most powerful weapon when compared to guns of the same level. *Glanes at his Red Saber +7* Actually, I keep several melee weapons depending on what I'm doing... my Redria usually carries a Soul Eater, and just recently I put a Sinow-Beat's Blade on him (which is a Dagger, equippable by Rangers, and therefore is cool by default
).
Thing about Rangers is, the high accuracy is much more pleasant. You do not want to be, say, a level-63 HUmar in Ultimate Forest. When I first got him to Ultimate at that level, he could barely hit anything. It's even worse with my FOnewm... and I shudder to think about what would happen if I brought my HUcast into Ultimate at that level... :ermm:
