This is still not released? I watched this two years ago when a Chinese friend got the DVD when it was released in China 
. (I hope we're talking about the same movie here).
I personally didn't like it all that much. The characters were shallow and it had such a silly plot. Only watch it for the special effects, which are a little bit like the ones they had in The Matrix.
If you liked Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (which had a much better plot), then you might like Hero because its story's background setting is similar. Don't let me put you off watching it--this is just one person's opinion.
