A Force can start doing something else than support only when full support is already cast (D/S/J/Z/Resta/Anti).
A Force should not let the team without full support more than 5 seconds, or then you suck at supporting, and therefore are a bad Force.
And you should immediately Resta anyone with less than 50% HP; don't wait, don't think "I'll do this 1st then Resta them", RESTA RIGHT AWAY. And if you're a male Force, Resta Merge is compulsory.
Anti can sometimes wait for a few seconds, but not for Confuse and Paralysis, you must heal those status ailments right away.
And online, unless you're doing Forest, Cave or Temple, you're not gonna deal any consistent damage with a Force, so you'll just be hindering the Hunters and Rangers if you do anything else beside supporting, or worse, damage cancel them (annoying even outside C-mode on some tough quests like PW#4).
You have to know when to attack without hindering the other players, it's also part of your job, so either attack one monster that no one else is attacking, cast 2 or 3 (NOT more) Rabarta to freeze some of them or use Megid on monsters weak to it in Ep2 (don't hog).
Important note:
Preventing megid-spitters from firing is basically the FO's job, so use Razonde, Rabarta or Rafoie to prevent Ob Lilies, Deldepths, Del Lilies and such from spitting Megid.
