Tales of Phantasia was the very first 'Tales of' game, for Super Nintendo. There were two remakes and neither got translated:
the Playstation remake version (which is supposed to be nearly the same but with a few more sidequests and redrawn sprites)
the GBA remake which was released last year (similar to playstation version).
I found out a bit more about the TOP anime. It's 4 episodes long, and the trailer looks like many cutscenes rolled together. They've even managed to grab the original voice actors from 10 years ago!
Tales of Eternia is the first sequel to TOP and has different characters from TOP, right? Thanks for the link. I'll remember to download it when I get proper broadband.
