Yes, if you're not in Ultimate or if you are doing easy areas/quests, Jellen and Zalure might not be that crucial, but later, they are, especially Jellen.
btw, always Jellen first, then Zalure.
Mirinee, on GC/Xbox/BB, a weaker S/D/J/Z cannot overwrite a higher one.
And Mirinee is right, Jellen or Zalure gets you experience.
