As Kefka said you can only do this once. The Item WILL NOT, AND I REPEAT, WILL NOT have any percents. They can't because this would not be fair for one person to get 30% on something and another person gets 0% for the same amount of work.
Secondly, you CAN, AND I REPEAT CAN, get all the minerals they just replace the previous one so you can get minerals 1,2,3 but as long as three is the last one you get, you will recieve your rare.
The first time I actually made it to Caves three on this quest and got the Supressed Gun my brother "accidently" tripped on the power cord. You wanna' make sure you check every room in caves 3 cause the one with the mineral has a twin "look alike" room and I thought I was gonna cry the second time I did the quest to arrive at the room I thought was the right one and it didn't have a mineral.
You all really don't know much about the offline quests do you? 
Also I don't know what you were talking about earlier about finding minerals in Forest 1 but this what you must do to get the items.
1) Get Minowite -there are multiples in forest 1 and you only need one.
2) Beat dragon- I don't know who told you all you had to kill all the enemies in the forest to get the mineral in caves3 but they're stupid.
3) Go all the way to Caves 3 to get the mineral in the circular room with the purple crystals on the wall. Remember in caves 3 there is a look alike room. You can also get the minerals from Caves 1 and 2 as long as you replace them with the mineral from Caves 3 it won't matter. That about sums everything up.
