Virid is a flower? Wow, didn't know that. I only know that Viridian is Chromium oxide, which is used as a dye. It's a dark blueish-green colour
so they must've named it after that. I know that Viridian City from Pokémon was. (Oh no! I'm going to be branded ultimately sad forever now that I've mentioned Pokémon).
