I think it could be just you......The Xbox freezing isn't uncommon, the PS2 breaking happens very often......the gamecube seems to be the most durable system out there. On the other hand, gamecube doesn't always have the greatest games around.

My friend said he was just sitting at home playing on his gamecube when all of a sudden, his dog ran by and it caught the cords of the gamecube and ended up sending the gamecube flying down his stairs. lol......it still works to.
Gamecube does have some major titles that people look for.....but nintendo lacks what some of the older youth audience want, such as blood and gore......and basically games that literally scare the pants off you. The Gamecube was more or less, built for the younger generation.
