I'd probably say it was with Ruriko with the way the original series ended. Plus, Shun's sister is taking care of Ayane showing that both parents were dead. Maybe Ayane held the grudge against Shun for leaving her alone and stranded. Or for putting the world before his own daughter because even good people are needy for attention and acknowledgement. But Shun IS dead, his family had made a Shrine for him in their household and in Japan if someone has a family shrine then they are deceased. Even if he wasn't then where exactly would he be when the place he grew up in is being destroyed and his daughter is alone and endangered?
