It appears we're both fighting for the last word in this discussion.
The solution:
...When you next see the words 'Topic Please' or similiar, you have the opportunity to tell them there and then. Just ask them and they'll happily comply to your request now and in the future. No more action is needed as i hope most of them will have read this thread, and it can be done from now as they know they're going about it in the wrong way.
