I beat it with Falco and Link, the fire bird,down smash, air down A, and side smash helped me win. It took me about 20 tries to finally beat it. kungfuturtle's right though, if you didn't have a strategy to win (like what i did with Gannondorf in Event 50), then just go with your best char. It will take a while though.
