Chapter 7: Return To The Present ---
When they stepped out, they were in DarkMagician's home again "So....you brought her back? Why?" DarkMagician asked. "Whew....we made it then." Terra said relieved. "As I travelled through time with your daughter, Terra, I gained not just strength, but knowledge and wisdom! I see that revenge was petty...but...Now I am unsure as to what I should do..." Robin replied. "Well, I recognise you now! You are the son of Adameon, are you not?" "What!?!" Ultima shouted. "I do not know what to do anymore...you may choose my fate, I have lost my way..." Robin said quietly. DarkMagician pulled out his staff. "Then...as you must be as evil as your father, I'll send you to hell to meet him!" Terra grabbed his arm, "Wait father! Stop!" "What!?! Terra! Let go! I must destroy him! He is evil..." DarkMagician started. "You are wrong! I have been with him. I saw his grief, and he has changed. He was mistaken, he thought YOU killed his father! He is a decent person! He never attacked me once! Ultima, ROB, did he ever attack you!?" "No." ROB said. Ultima shook his head. "And Mother, how did he treat you?" Terra shouted. Sakura thought for a moment, "He kept me in a cage...but made sure I was comfortable..." "Exactly! See dad, he is a good person inside..." "You are wrong! You...you have become infatuated!" DarkMagician shouted. "W-what!?!" Terra was taken aback. "Enough, this ends now!" "No! Leave him alone! He is my friend!" Robin openly flinched then. "Terra...you called me...friend..." "Terra! Move or BE moved!" DarkMagician commanded. "STOP YOU TWO! I will decide my fate, not you! DarkMagician. I have seen your past, how you met Sakura, that time in the caves, DarkRappy's death and so on. Your lovely daughter Terra has been with me, and now that I finally have a friend in this empty world, I can die happily. You may do with me as you wish." DarkMagician fell silent. "Well?" Robin asked. "...I will let Terra decide..." DarkMagician said slowly. "Let him live!" Terra said triumphantly. "Why?" DarkMagician asked. "......" "Why Terra?" "...Terra?" Robin asked. "Oh dear...I think...that maybe...DarkMagician was right..." Sakura said slowly. "....." DarkMagician span round to face her. "What!? But she is just a child...she cannot..." "You are wrong! The time portals have changed us both. Do you not see? We have aged! We are now adults!" Robin boomed. "....." "And anyway...Terra is not interested in me...I am just a...friend...right Terra?" Terra looked up. "Y-yes." DarkMagician gave up. "Well...that is alright then....as long as he does not try to commit evil acts, he may visit us..." "Visit!?! Surely the house is big enough for hi..." Terra started, as DarkMagician coughed loudly. "He can visit every weekend." "WHAT!?!?! There is a spare bed in my room! He could stay here..." DarkMagician knocked the floor with his staff in anger, "Terra! Now you're pushing it!!!" "Calm down everyone...look, as you two will squabble for long, I shall ask Sakura instead. She has stayed neutral, and she owns half the house anyway. Sakura?" Robin called. Sakura walked over to them. "I do not mind you staying here Robin..." "...Really? Well...maybe I have finally found paradise..." Robin said to himself, as he explored his new home. DarkMagician was having a heart attack nearly, "OH MY GOD! YOU LET HIM STAY!?! IN YOUR OWN DAUGHTER'S BEDROOM!?! ARE YOU MAD!?!" Terra shrugged, and spoke, "Relax dad. That's no way to treat your son-in-law! HAHAHAHH!!!!!" Sakura started laughing too, as did Ultima and Infinete. "B-BUT...IT...YOU...WHY...AAAAAGHH!!!!!" DarkMagician screamed, as he pulled his hair...
Chapter 8: Peace Is Restored...Or Is It? ---
Terra found Robin upstairs, in her bedroom. "Well, that's that sorted!" She said happily. "Thank you, Terra..." Robin replied. "Hey Robin, why do you still have your helmet on?" "Uh..." "Take it off, I want to see what you look like as an adult!" "But I do not know myself..." "Please?" ".....Very well...seeing as how you saved me..." Robin said slowly, as he removed his helmet. Terra looked at him as an adult for the first time, his hair had grown longer, to his shoulders, and was a dark blonde colour. His face had changed as well. "Well? Have I changed at all?" Robin asked her. "Mmhmm...you look...different...to before..." Terra said, holding up her mirror. "Well! I do look different! Heh, now I am confident I can go out there and find some beautiful women!" "Robin! Are you saying I am not!?!" "Heh-heh-heh! I am only teasing Terra, why do you care?" Terra stopped. She turned away, blushing. Robin shrugged. "Lost interest in talking to me then?" ".....Hey, hold on. Why is it that Ultima, Infinete and ROB were defeated by you, when you were defeated by DarkMagician so easily?" "Oh that? I let him win." "Why!?!" "If I killed him then, I wouldn't have had any fun...I wanted to make him suffer..." "...worrying..." "Oh. You have nothing to fear, I'll not kill you.....maybe, Mwuhahahahah!" Terra backed off. Robin walked up to the door. "No sign of DarkMagician yet...Hey uh, Terra....don't get the wrong idea, but take this." He held out a magical globe covered in scintillating colours, in his hand. "What is it? It's beautiful!" Terra said in awe. "It is a...charm I created. I designed so as to remember what beauty was like when I was in my old home... Enjoy." She put her hand over his for a moment, then took the globe. "Thank you, Robin. I was right. You are not evil, you are just lonely..." "....." "Well, not anymore, you can be sure of that!" Terra said happily. "So...perhaps he is not evil after all..." DarkMagician said, stepping out of the shadows. "What!?! You spied on us!?" Terra shouted. Sakura and the rest stepped out. "W-What is going on!?!" Robin shouted.
"We have decided, if you wish to stay with Terra you must defeat us all at once. Who knows, if you defeat DarkMagician, we may let you marry her..." Sakura said slowly. "But that isn't going to happen..." DarkMagician added. "Fine...let us step outside, into the forest. Terra, you come watch." "But...fine..." They stepped outside. The sun was setting, as they got ready to battle...
*NOTE: THE FIGHT IS EDITTED OUT. I HAD TRIED A NEW METHOD OF WRITING FIGHTS, BUT IT IS TOO LONG. I SHALL POST IT UP LATER*
The fight was long and bloody, and though he faced incalculable odds, Robin eventually gained the upper hand, and knocked DarkMagician out. Suddenly, his eyes glazed over, and he pulled out his sword. Just as he brought it down over DarkMagician's head, Sephiroth stepped in. "How dare you harm my son! You shall die!" Robin shook his head, and looked at him confused, "Eh? Wh-what's going on? Why is my sword out?? Was I going to...kill him?" Sephiroth drew his sword. "No!" Terra called out. Sephiroth turned to face her, as Robin's eyes glazed over once more. He smacked Sephiroth on the back of his head, turned back to stab DarkMagician again. "NO! DON'T DO IT!!!" Robin's eyes returned again, as he dropped his sword to the floor with a clang...
Robin looked down. "Was I about to...kill him?" "Yes. Thank goodness you stopped." Terra said relieved. "It was not me that willed it, I keep being possessed by someone...AAAGH!" He clutched his head. "W-who are you? ....F-father!?! Leave me be! I will not bow to your will! Stop it! NOOO!" He fell to the floor. Terra ran over, as DarkMagician woke up. "What is going on?...Robin?" He said, as he saw Robin clutching his head on the floor. "Adameon, leave me! I will not let you harm my friends! GAAH! Stop! GKK..." DarkMagician leapt up, "He is possessed by Adameon! Sakura, Ultima, we must destroy Robin while he is vulnerable." Terra shouted, "NO! Wait! He may get rid of him himself." "....." Robin lay on the floor, still shouting to himself "Father...go...away! That's it! HhhraaaAAAAIIIIIHH!!!" A bright flash burst out from Robin. "I can't see!" Infinete cried. After a minute, the flash receded. Robin sat there, smiling for the first time. "I did it! I got rid of Adameon! I am free!!!" He cried out happily. Terra helped him up. "Good job Robin..." Suddenly Robin froze. "What's wrong now!?" Ultima asked. A cruel smile played over Robin's face. "DarkMagician...I just remembered...something about 'If you wish to stay, you must defeat all of us.' Well? I did! And...'If you can defeat DarkMagician, we may let you marry her!' So what now?" Sakura and DarkMagician flinched. "What now?" DarkMagician hissed to Sakura. "We must keep our promises!" She hissed back. "But.....Oh, to hell with it! Robin!" DarkMagician called out. Robin walked over. "I hereby decree that Robin, son of Adameon, may stay here forever, and I give him permission to marry my daughter Terra!" Robin smiled, as he and DarkMagician shook hands...
Epilogue:
Barely a month after ejecting Adameon's consciousness, Robin proposed to Terra. She immediately said yes, to the delight of her parents and friends...
When they stepped out, they were in DarkMagician's home again "So....you brought her back? Why?" DarkMagician asked. "Whew....we made it then." Terra said relieved.
