[rant]WHY is it that I keep finding Nar Lilies on NORMAL! I found one today in the temple with my new (relatively new) FOnewearl... she's the third character to find one in normal, the others being my RAmarl and RAcast. All three of them dropped General/Minds. I wonder why I can't find rare enemies in any OTHER mode?? :ermm: [/rant]
Kashima: I'll say this: I think the trick is unique-ness. Nobody, but nobody finds everything in the game (unless your name is Kefka, you have 5500+ hours to burn and rather incredible luck). So the thing is, you have to hunt things that you personally would like, rather than... um, everything. I know a guy who has a Luminous Field, for instance, but I have no real reason to search for a Luminous Field; my RAmar wears a Brightness Circle which is far easier to make (I think, unless I forgot some absurdly easy Luminous Field drop) and has almost as good stats (and decent resistances).
Which is not to say you shouldn't search for some common things, of course... and some of those that are the not-so-common-but-gettable (or as I've started to think of them, the "have you got yours yet?" items). Stuff like the Demo Comet is what I'm talking about... I mean, almost everybody wants one of those things, and with the right IDs it's easy enough to get.
