You wanted a Frozen Shooter? I thought you said rifles are cheap... and that's the cheapest rifle in the game. 
What it isn't, though, is powerful; a Wals is more powerful, even when the FS is fully grinded. Find yourself a Justy (which isn't really possible with a Purplenum, but a Yellowboze could probably get one somewhere) for boss battles that require rifles, like Dark Falz.
Speaking of Justys, I got one with my RAmarl tonight which I tekked to 20 beast, 15 machine and 50 dark. Stinkin' awesome... it'll be nice for Dark Falz battles.
EDIT: A.S., I would just run through Temple if I were you... this gives you a chance at a Yasminkov 9000M (Crimson Assassin, 1/788). With the amount of Ob Lilies in that level, you'll probably see a Mil before you ever get the Yasminkov anyway (although my Purplenum hasn't had any luck with either so far...).
