This really is a question for the respective companies marketing departments. Ha ha based on worldwide sales figures the DS wins for now.
We all have our own opinions however and its good such a simple question generates so much passion.My opinion is the DS. Down here in bournemouth we have lots of fun with bomberman DS, feels just like the good old snes multitap days yay but now we have 8 player madness at the flick of a switch.
Sony will give the DS a good run for its money i believe but ultimately it will finish behind the DS.

well yes but i will still say stick with the gba my friend has the ds and me and him hate the fact that all the games are stupid i dont have a ds or a psp but all the ds games seem the same i mean mario ds was fun but i found the mini games better then then the game

and the only good game besides kirby canvis cures srry for the spelling and animal crossing are the only good ones feel the magic is like stupid and the new metroid would be cool but contrls are kinda hard

i do think the finger screen is kool but wat makes me hate ds is its games if you like ds ok but to me i wont get it unless thay make a final fantasy tactics ds

so i say get a gba sp cheap good lasts long has millions of games and if you got a game cube you can get the gba player that runes games i think and i have one save your money for nintendo reo or ps3 for ff7new

Well, you arent taking into account that you also get all the GBA games for the DS because of backward compatibility. Besides, the metroid game is gonna be a blast when it comes out, right? The demo was awesome!

Not quite Ria. The wipeout game is fairly impressive, but apparantly not without problems. There is slowdown when it gets busiest, and it is effectively a sequel. Similarly Lemmings, is actually 10 or so years old.

wow lemmings, that game takes a long time to pass. i've played that game for the first time when i was 5 years old.

thats tru. Personally I prefer the DS because I can't get enough of Nintendo, BUT if i can ever afford to get a PSP I will get it just to play Dynasty Warriors (man those games rox). The battery life also makes me lean to the DS, cause if i'm off campin' i want a console that will last longer, plus I don't wanna spend all that money on batteries. And of couse I go DS because u can get it, 4 games and an essentials kit, for about 50 quid less than the PSP with nothing else, That is at the moment.

The prices they charge for the UMD movies are really really silly, when you could buy the DVD version for cheaper, and watch it on a proper screen as many times as you like in a row without worrying about battery charges! I'm not gonna be too worried about missing my films while i'm moving around really, that's what my mp3 player is for (Well i cant watch films on it, but you get the idea of entertainment!).
