No, but I searched the the whole forest for the maiden (Chapter 3, I think) six times only to discover I had to go right instead of left at one point.
even with the map, always missed one locked gate.

One of the problems has to do with the speed of light and the difficulties involved in trying to exceed it. You can't. Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special law - H2G2

Moatoob isn't that easy to get lost in, for me. I'm at home in the desert I guess.

You should. The more time you waste being lost, the less chance you have of S-ranking a mission.

thats why i pick party missions, i can just tag along and kill stuff... or heal as the case maybe.
after all this time though Parum is easy to navigate ^^

I don't think so. But I dind Parum easy to navigate. One of the hardest places for me is the free missio that requires you to be level 45 on Neudaiz, with the fire SEED.
